Blog update. "Butlers and Burners Beach"

Hi everyone,
Just back from the dawn service here at Brighton SA. very moving, hard to comprehend the courage and sacrifice our young Australians went through so we can live in a free democratic society.
I thought it's about time we up dated our travel blog. Since our trip to the Quorn muster we have travelled to York Peninsula a couple of times camping and fishing. Our first trip was to Butlers beach 14 kms north of Marion bay in late 2011 and Burners beach last week April 2012.

Camping behind sand hills lots of camp sites.
Good beach fishing and rock pools for swimming
and kms of beaches.
Graeme,Chris and Sandy on the morning walk.

Bruce and Pam [ Jar on tour] joined us for a couple of days. This was the last time they used there Bushtracker before they sold it. They have ordered a new Bushtracker for a July 2012 pick up.

The crew enjoying dinner.
When the girls went walking the boys installed a set of driving lights to Don new vehicle [truck]. looks good and they even work !!
Lots of great sunsets.
After leaving Butlers beach we headed for the Gap camp ground 16 kms from Balgowan
Camp site next to beach.
That night enjoyed a couple beers watching the sunset.
This was the last night before we headed home back to Adelaide for the run up to Christmas and he New year.

It is now April 2012 and it has been a busy year so far with Deb her mum cruising on the Queen Mary 2 and our daughter getting marred in March. last week we headed to Burners beach with some friends for camping and fishing. We took our tinnie and the fish were biting. King George whiting and lots of Squid. Burners beach is a good spot to camp and you can leave your boat in the water near where you camp. You can get a camping permit for $35.00 for a week.
